In 1990, Ken Burns epic PBS program The Civil War documentary, historian Shelby Foote attempted to describe the famous Rebel Yell. Foote died in 2005, and I hope he had the opportunity to hear the Rebel Yell from surviving Confederate soldiers, which was on film at the Library of Congress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6jSqt39vFM
